Interest is growing in Kennedy wind farm near Hughenden in out back Queensland. Windlab CEO Mark Sinclair spoke to Cameron Cooper from The Australian regarding the advantages of using our WindScape technology to identify sites away from scenic coastal locations and the contribution the development will make to Queensland's renewable energy requirements.

Windlab welcomes the support from the Member of Parliament for the seat of Herbert  who yesterday spoke in favour of both Windlab's Kennedy Wind Farm and the CuString transmission line. The planned line running between Townsville and Mt Isa will allow this site to deliver renewable energy to the National Market.

Collgar wind farm is receiving community support according to ABC News who report that the development is being approached with optimism and an element of curiosity.

Mr Morris, a long-time resident of Merredin told ABC News of his surprise in the wind power potential along the Wheatbelt but says "it's good to see something positive happening in the area".
