Wind Energy and Your Land
Wind energy can bring many benefits to the landholder and the community. We at Windlab also understand the concerns that landholders have in regard to how a wind farm will affect your farming operations and property. This is why we strive to minimize the impact on landholder operations and to protect landholder rights through providing the landholder with siginificant input into how the project is developed.
Like you, our aim is to complete the project in a way that results in outcomes that provide significant benefits to landholders and their community. We seek to reach agreements with landholders and local authorities that protect flora and fauna and respect other land uses. Our technology allows us to understand the wind resource on your site sooner so we can discuss positions of roads, turbines and cables with you earlier.
Importantly, we have done this before. Our people have been in this industry from the start and that experience helps deliver a better project.
Our Experience
Experience Counts in Wind Power. Windlab's track record in locating and developing great sites demonstrates the ability of our team and proves the importance of good science in wind development. We are proud of our strong relationship with landholders and their communities on our projects that span USA, Australia, Canada and South Africa
Experience
Developing a wind farm is a challenging process. Our scientific heritage means we are experts at modelling the atmosphere and wind flows across your land. Indeed we know a lot about the site and its wind resource before we even visit it. But a good wind resource does not mean the site will be a success. We are also experienced in the other important studies that need to be undertaken before construction can commence such as:
